ABOUT THE mTicket® SERVICE

mTicket is an online service that allows an event organiser to market, sell and distribute tickets to an event using SMS text messaging technologies. We provide access to box-office facilities at a fraction of the cost of similar paper-based ticketing systems. Our service has been in operation since March 2001. mTicket is the pioneers of the mobile ticketing. Read on to see how we can help you!

If you are organising an event, we can help you organise the ticketing so you and your guests have a trouble-free event. There are four main steps to mobile ticketing:

  1. Promote your event
    You can choose to send out an RSVP text to a list of your own mobile numbers and require guests reply to that message or we provide a short-code (UK only, enquire about other countries) that you can print or distribute. In either case event details are sent to your guests who can decide whether to act on your invite or promotional material.
  2. Sell tickets or provide free invites
    If you just want to send out invites, that's fine, but if you wish to sell tickets we offer an online payment gateway. We take payment from your customers online and forward you the money no more than 12-hours after the event*. We also offer premium-rate facilities in the UK. We can also forward ticket requests to you if you have merchant facilities already.
  3. Deliver mTickets®
    Once we have finished conducting a dialouge with your guest or a successful payment has been taken we deliver the final mTicket® containing the guests unique code.
  4. Redeem guests
    We provide access to our Redemption Application so you can admit and redeem guest mTickets®. We recommed you access the Redemption Application using an Internet connected Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). These can be hired in many countries, or you may have your own!

Q. What are mTickets®?
A. mTicket® is a online service you can use to send mTickets®. The actual ticket sent to a guest is a plain SMS text messages. mTickets® are a tried and tested mobile ticketing technology used by mobile operators worldwide, consumer brands and event organisers. It is a safe and secure method to send tickets to guests on their mobile phones.

Q. How much does mTickets® costs to use?
A. Compared to other paper ticket systems considerably less. We charge an event setup fee and a small amount for each outbound SMS we have to send on your behalf. Read our pricing information for full details.

Q. What money I receive if I use the Premium Rate SMS facility?
A. For every Premium Rate SMS we send on your behalf (instead of online payments, UK only) we revieve a proportion of the charge back from the mobile operators. When we do receive these 'commissions' we will transfer the balance (up to 3 months). Q. Which countries will mTicket® work in?
A. We can send mTickets® to over 160 mobile networks in over 70 countries across the globe. This means your guests can be in any one of these countries to have an mTicket® delivered. You can use our online service to setup an event from anywhere int he world.

Q. What payment gateway do you use?
A. If you have asked to take payments online for mTicket® sales we use PayPal. We have chosen PayPal because of the ease in which we can transfer funds back to you the event organiser and becuase it is a global payment standard. Over 100 million customers use PayPal, making mTicket® purchases even simpler. You will need to have a PayPal account to use the mTicket service.
